Starting with the front of the Nokia 7.1, the smartphone sports a 5.84-inch 2280 x 1080 resolution display that supports HDR10. And yes, the handset does have a notch.
Under the hood, the Nokia 7.1 specs include a Snapdragon 636, 3GB or 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of built-in memory, and a 3,060mAh battery. Fortunately, you can increase the phone’s storage up to 400GB using a microSD card and get the battery back to 50 percent in 30 minutes using the included USB Type-C fast charger.
Nokia focused heavily on camera features
Continuing with the dual rear camera trend, the Nokia 7.1 features a 12MP primary sensor with an f1.8 aperture alongside a 5MP camera with an f2.4 aperture. Around front, the handset has an 8MP sensor with an f2.0 aperture.
With this phone, Nokia focused heavily on camera features. In addition to offering a pro mode that will allow the user to change individual camera parameters, both the front and rear camera will feature a “Live Bokeh” mode. With it, customers will be able to adjust the portrait effect, making the background more or less blurry depending on their preference.
Lastly, just like most new Nokia smartphones, the Nokia 7.1 ships as part of Android One. Out of the box, it’s running Android 8.1 Oreo, but the phone is set to receive the update to Android 9 Pie as soon as November.
