Harvest Moon: Light of Hope is already available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, but now it’s here on Android. The farming simulation game has an adorable retro look and gameplay style, and is only the second Harvest Moon game to land on Android.

Best of all, Harvest Moon: Light of Hope features no in-app purchases at all, keeping the gaming experience microtransaction-free. This is pretty notable considering how easy it would be to make a game within the Harvest Moon series riddled with in-app purchases.

Editor's Pick

As with other Harvest Moon games in the series’ twenty-year history, the object of Light of Hope is to live your life, raise your animals, tend your crops, and make your town a success. There’s also a storyline that comes along with it; in this case, the rebuilding of a lighthouse to prevent ships from crashing at sea.

You can play Harvest Moon: Light of Hope as either a boy or a girl, and you eventually will get married and start a family as you help rebuild an entire town.

The game isn’t exactly cheap at $15, but you’ll probably spend less overall than you would on a game that’s filled with in-app purchases. If you’re a Harvest Moon fan, it’s a no-brainer!
